Description

We may never know the exact time the first standing desk was used, but standing desks can be traced back to the 1400s. Rumor has it Leonardo da Vinci was using a standing desk when he came up with his many ideas.

Our Shaker Standing Desk features a slanted drafting surface that opens to expose an expanse of office and wiring supply storage space. The open inside compartment is large enough to hide away laptops, tablets and other electronics with letter cubbies to keep smaller supplies sorted.

You can customize your Shaker standing desk by changing these cubbies into two drawers and also by adding a row cubbies, as pictured, to the top of the office furniture. There is an 18 inch flat surface for a MacBook or PC work station to the side of the slanted drafting surface, this can be customized by being added to the right or left hand side of the standing desk.

Add our Tractor Seat Stool for those times when you do want to sit a your desk, custom heights of both our Shaker Standing Desk and Tractor Seat Stool can be quoted. Please inquire about pricing for any of these above options.

Our Shaker Standing Desk pairs nicely with our Morris Chair, Prairie Settle Love Seat and Sofa that can all be found at under our seating category. Add a few Shaker Bookcases to create an inviting, cohesive home office, library or den.
